- The total investment on the newly- built power grid and rebuilding power grid amounts to 900 billion Yuan of State Power Grid Corporation, among which 253.2 billion Yuan will be invested in 2008.
- The investment of China South Power Grid Corporation will reach 300 billion Yuan among which 58.6 billion yuan will be invested in 2008.
- In total, the investment scale of China power grid adds up to 1200 trillion yuan during” Eleven Five（2006-2010 and annual investment amount will exceed 240 billion yuan.

- During the”11th Five-Year Plan”, China will increase the installed capacity of hydropower and nuclear power.
- The installed capacity of hydropowerwill climb to 160 million kilowatts and the installed capacity of nuclear power will rise to 12.5 million kilowatts by 2010 with average investment amount will be up to 35 billion yuan and 20 billion yuan annually.
- During The”11th Five-Year Plan”, national wind power capacity will rise to 20 million kilowatts with total investment of 130 billion yuan.
- By 2010, the thermal power capacity will reach 2 million kilowatts; Biomass power generation capacity will reach 5.5 million kilowatts.
