Founded with the approval of the State Council in 1988, China Electricity Council (CEC) is an organization which is a consolidation of all China’s power enterprises and institutions; it operates under the supervision of the State Electricity Regulator Commission.

 

Entrusted by the government, China Electricity Council is committed to serve government and society and to upholding ethical industrial management in order to serve the whole power sector in accordance with the industrial rules and regulations.Entrusted by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and other related government bodies, China Electricity Council has also takes over the administration of 6 National specialty societies.

 

Since the founding of China Electricity Council, under the guidance of the government bodies concerned with the support of all members, a great deal of work has been done by CEC in execution of government macro control over the power industry, in pushing the enterprises into the market and in safeguarding the legal rights and interests of its members and all enterprises within the power sector, thus linking the government enterprises.
